In 2018, Israeli artist Doron Altaratz aimed to connect two different realities through his project, which was part of an international residency program at the Arebyte Gallery of London. The result was an immersive visual tour of the city of Jerusalem and London City Island, home of the Arebyte Gallery, made from a combination of photogrammetry, sound, projection mapping and 3D printing.

Alessio Cardaci, Pietro Azzola and Antonella Versaci of the Universities of Bergamo and of Enna “Kore”, Italy, exploited photogrammetry to present a comparative study between different 3D assets of the bust of San Nicola da Tolentino, sculpture present in the ancient convent of Sant’ Agostino in Bergamo. The aim is to show how both professional and low-cost systems can provide good results for conservation of Cultural Heritage.

Digital artist Chris Blaser of g3D art-e-motion, along with Circle Lab GmbH, is working on a new Army museum in the area of Montreux, Switzerland. The museum will be opened in 2020 inside the Fort de Chillon, right above the medieval castle Chillon. The goal here is to extract a Low Poly version of the castle with Normals from the High Poly output for VR and Realtime Preview.
