Decimation model simplification - Automatic normal-map creation?

It would be an awesome time-saver if when using the mesh simplification tools, there was a "tick-box" to produce a basic normal map.
(Especially for uploading into Sketchup using the limited file-size free account.)

Are there any plans for a feature like this?

Z-Brush does a real nice retopology and can reduce the high polycount down without looking triangulated

Use the Re-Mesh tool and play with the settings

At the moment you have to achieve this using external software. We have this feature in our wishlist but we have no ETA for that
