    Welding Verts

When I export the meshes out of 3D Flow and bring into 3ds Max I notice the model is considered 1 object but selecting faces in Max results in the model having thousands of un-welded islands of polygons

What's the quickest way to get all these points welded so it's easier to clean up in another 3D program?

    Hi CG-Guy,

i'm not sure i understand, but if you're looking to select all disconnected patches, you can use the select by connected components tool

Hi CG-Guy - What you're looking for is under Tools>MeshFilters>Retopology. This will split long edges, collapse short edges, equalise valence and relax tangentially. Way way faster than trying to fix in Meshlab or whatever your program of choice is

Please respond if this was correct B-) Have a lovely day!

      Regards,

      Cameron

Thanks a lot for that tip - I'll try that next time.
