Question regarding "Inclination" of a line and fit a plane using "Triangle"

    Hi,

I am using 3D Zephyr Lite version and I have tow different questions:

    1) When I use "Tools>Distances and Measurements>Quick Measurements" to calculate the distance between of two points, the software shows Distance (D), Elevation (E), and Inclination (I) of the line between those points. I think the Inclination is the angle between the line relative to the horizontal plane. Am I correct?

    2) When I use "Tools>Workspace>Define Up Vector Manually>Triangle" to fit a plane using three points, I am wondering does the software use all points inside of the triangle or just the three points to fit a plane?

Thank you for your help in advanced.

Hi AbbasA - Welcome to the forum! To answer your questions:

    1) Yes. The inclination is based on the horizontal plane (X-Y) relative to the picked points.

    2) Define Up Vector Manually > Triangle establishes a ground plane from which the Z-axis will be computed. It is based on three picked points.

-- Zephyr defaults to Z up, but can be changed to Y up through Tools>Options>Application>UpAxis
