    Filtering error: bad allocation

    Hello wonderful people,

I'm trying to Filter by Decimation my Mesh, and it always fails and I get this error: [12:24:10] Filtering error: bad allocation

Also, my log before looks like this:
    [12:21:15] SysInfo | Cpu: 11.00 %; Disk (U/T): 32612/204799 MB (172187 MB free, 15.92 % used); Memory (U/T): 1274/23491 MB (17433 MB free, 5.42 % used)
    [12:23:15] SysInfo | Cpu: 54.22 %; Disk (U/T): 32612/204799 MB (172187 MB free, 15.92 % used); Memory (U/T): 31083/23491 MB (525 MB free, 132.32 % used)

How it gets more RAM used than I have installed on my PC?

Please help. I don't know what to do.

    Thanks you so much!

Hi Paladin - In simple terms, when a process requires more RAM than is available in the machine, then 'memory swapping' is utilized, where the data which would otherwise be stored in RAM gets sent to a HDD or SSD instead. This can slow things down significantly as RAM sticks are typically much faster than hard drives.

If purchasing more RAM is not an option then I recommend lowering your processing settings a bit or using less photographs in your project. If you have a dataset and project file you can share with us I can download it and give you some advise on the settings which might work best in your usecase.
