    OBJ file orientation

    Dear,

I am very happy with the rich features and results of the latest version of Zephyr. As you said the meshes are more precise than before, etc

Manipulating grid, bounding box and the model orientation is difficult for me.
I do not get OBJ files oriented as I would like when I open mean you open them with an OBJ viewer, or Fusion 360, etc,...

Is there a simple way to first orient the object in Zephyr and then just declare in one clic "FRONT", so that the .OBJ file would open as you see it on the Zephyr screen ?

This might be a generic function at Edit level, then Export. (= model update)
and/or an option to clic in the Export Textured Mesh ? (=version ?)

    Regards, Philippe

    Hi Philippe,

in zephyr 7 now you have to move the grid, rather than the object, as every object has their own grid as multiple items can co-exist in a different reference system. Either that, or use GPCs (full version) if you prefer to define specific coordinates.

You can also use the define vertical axis tool if that can help.
