    Reconstruction of insect wings

    Hello,

I am working on a Grad thesis project where i am trying to make models of insects that are housed at a insect museum.

I am having a lot of trouble with reconstructing details such as wings that are translucent.
I was wondering if anyone had any idea of optimal settings to use or a post-processing workflow through zephyr that may force the program to reconstruct insetcf wings.
Does anyone have experience with this?

    Thank you so much!

Hi loveu157 - The tolerances of insect wings are... tight to say the least.

You might find some success using the thickness variable in the Mesh Wizard (Settings: Custom)

Or you could try an approach I used and take only photos from one side (topside in my case) and create a plane rather than a volume (https://skfb.ly/6RHJz)

Success is more likely to be found in the photos taken, rather than learning on Zephyr to compensate for poor quality data.
