export contours in 3D CAD formats

I want to export contour lines of my models in 3D CAD formats (dxf or dgn). But the program only exports 2D files (in the mentioned CAD formats). I don't see any option to choose 3D or 2D. Is it possible to export 3D contour lines in those CAD formats?

    Hi Lapicito,

contour lines elmenets are indeed 3D elements, so, yes.

Is this a generic question (if so the answer is yes) or are you having a specific issue? If so, please share more details so I can give you a more tailored response, thank you!

Thank you, Andrea. I have found that the problem is that I tried to open the CAD file, generated in Zephyr, in an old version of MicroStation. It only read it in 2D. I then ran it in current versions of AutoCad and found that they read it in 3D.
      Thanks again.
