    orthophoto quality

how can i get a orthophoto with very high quality , shall i produce from mesh ? do i need to apply photoconsistency multiple times to mesh ? what parameters shall be used during orthophoto generation

Hi Sayeed khan - Generally speaking, orthophoto quality is a result of the quality of captured images. Photoconsistency (or other mesh filters) won't be particularly useful for this, as they are for surface geometry. If you're still having trouble can you please provide screenshots? Thanks!

Hello sorry to interject...but it seems 3d flow won't let you do an orthophoto from textured mesh?only from mesh....!

That's correct - the true orthophoto is generated from a mesh, not a textured mesh. You'll need to generate one (and you'll need a mesh in the workspace) before you can export it. The orthophoto, by nature, is not a texture, and thus you can't expect the texture generated in the textured mesh to "be" the orthophoto. The texture information generated in the textured mesh phase can't be used for othophoto generation.

The only important information is the geometry, and generally, the textured mesh has a lower polycount than the non-textured mesh, and so in general this is not a good practice.

However, if you wish to create it from a textured mesh regardless (for example because you did some editing afterwards - though I do not reommend it since you'd be wasting UV space if you removed triangles in the textured mesh - you want to edit th emesh, and re-compute it) you can always right-click and select "convert to mesh", then use that as reference for the orthophoto generatoin.
