zoom in and object sees parts sliced away, zoom out and they return

Hi,
Why do parts of my model vanish as I zoom in to study them ?
its as if there is an invisible slicing screen 1 foot in front of my eyes and it cuts and removes before I get close enough in.
Dont have that happen in Rhino or Agisoft.

Tools>Options>Rendering and adjust the near/far clipping as desired.
