Zephyr Model Export Settings 4 Blender

    Buon giorno miei amici!

I'm new to 3DFlow/Zephyr and testing out the software on a trial. Apologies in advance if I'm covering a topic that's most likely been addressed but I can't find a solution. I am very impressed with the results of what Zephyr did with the drone scans of a medieval church in Ireland. As you can see from the screen capture of the Zephyr interface, it looks awesome BUT, when I exported/imported the model (both as an OBJ and an FBX), and brought it into Blender (and also 3DMax), the results looked like something from Minecraft. I know I'm doing something wrong - could you please provide a simple set of export settings, or what settings I need to do in the workflow in order to get the same results in Zephyr, in the Blender environment. Mille grazie! Mento Spinacio

Hi Mento Spinacio - If the dataset is georeferenced (GPS) then Zephyr automatically saves the mesh vertices with double-precision (no rounding errors etc...) - LOTS of software doesn't support double precision data, so to import successfully it needs to be converted to a Local Rendering Reference System. (Maya, Meshlab etc... etc...).

You can select local rendering reference system on export :-)

Thanks a mil! It worked like a charm. Amazing software - you got me sold on a license. This is way better than Meshroom. Cheers
