I just wanted to share my positive experience with the latest 3DF Zephyr Lite update. I used to struggle a lot with flat objects but that seems to have changed completely!
A few weeks ago I had taken a set of 158 photos of a medieval papal seal. It's flat, though not as thin as a coin. I could never get a proper model from it. Sometimes only one half was reconstructed or I ended up with two connected halves like an open clamshell. This morning I loaded the same photoset into Zephyr Lite and to my surprise it worked perfectly. Not a single photo was rejected and the model came out clean and complete (papal seal on sketchfab: https://skfb.ly/pyznK ) . I also finally managed to get a good model of a commemorative medal that also had never worked before.
Tomorrow I'll be working on an object with thin elements and I have full confidence it’s going to turn out well.
I’m really happy with this update. It makes a huge difference for tricky/flat subjects. Big thanks to the 3Dflow team!
