3DF Zephyr 3.0 major changes

  • Updated 3DF Samantha Structure from motion pipeline (all versions)
The structure from motion reconstruction engine has been updated now with a powerful and faster global pipeline – experience faster than ever accurate sparse point cloud reconstructions! The “old” incremental pipeline is still there, improved as well. You will always have the control over your reconstruction workflow, as usual!
  • Photoconsistency based Mesh Optimization (all versions)
Extract even more details when reconstructing a mesh with our state of the art photoconsistency mesh optimization: although this step may take a while, you will love the extra details Zephyr 3.0 can give to your meshes! See a few examples on our development blog here!
  • Native Laser Scan format support (all versions)
Since Zephyr 3.0 we are starting to natively support laser scan formats. Starting with Faro’s .fls and .fws file formats, you will be able to view these native formats directly inside Zephyr (all versions) or even import them as unstructured objects in your workspace (Pro and Aerial only). As we add new formats to our supported list, you can simply download and install the required native laser scan format plugin from our free download area.
  • Multi ICP registration (Pro and Aerial only)
Automatically and easily register your point cloud scans inside Zephyr with our state of the art Multi ICP registration algorithm. As usual, you can still color laser scan point clouds directly inside Zephyr, however 3.0 makes this process much easier and allows you to make any point cloud structured if a photogrammetry point cloud has been generated: when this is done, you can also use any other tool on those structured point clouds, such as mesh generation, contour line generation, and everything else Zephyr can offer
  • Manual and automated polyline extraction (Aerial only)
Quickly and easily generate drawing elements (and export them in .dxf format) either manually by drawing them on pictures or by letting Zephyr do the work for you.
  • A special announcement for 3DF Zephyr Lite users!

All 3DF Zephyr Lite 2.x license owners – including Steam Edition users – have been upgraded to 3.x licenses for free! Enjoy the biggest update to 3DF Zephyr to date! But wait, there’s more!

3DF Zephyr Lite now has advanced mode support. Enjoy even more control over your reconstructions!

3DF Zephyr Lite now has the full Image Quality Index tool available! Enjoy a visual representation of your taken pictures!

Among these features, we’ve lowered the price of 3DF Zephyr Lite by 25%!  Enjoy also an additional 3DF Zephyr Lite discount of 40%!
